Commercial and Operational Aviation Due Diligence. On behalf of a potential aviation investor, we undertook the review of the future viability of a regional airline’s business model which involved investigations into commercial, operational and technical aspects of the business.

Cross-business Airline Improvement Review . We were engaged to undertake a cross-business review for the CEO of a major Asia-Pacific airline to identify air transport revenue enhancement and cost reduction opportunities, and to highlight key business issues and strategic options.

Independent Business Review . We conducted an independent review for pension fund Trustees of a major European airline’s five-year business plan and its likely future performance to plan, where the Trustees required a longer term view than that offered by the company. Work included evaluation of the operating and strategic aviation industry environment; interpretation of business plan objectives; development of an independent financial model of the group; identification of areas of risk; and evaluation of financial consequences.

Strategic Evaluation of Acquisition . For a European airline wishing to make an aviation acquisition, we assisted in evaluation of the acquisition target. Work undertaken included an assessment of the consequences of applying the acquirer’s business model to the acquiree in terms of investment criteria, development of post acquisition strategy, and financial assessment.

Turnaround Plan Review and Development . In support of an investor’s bid for a European airline, we developed the restructuring plan covering operational and commercial aviation aspects.

Industry Mergers and Acquisition advice. We were the industry adviser to the successful consortium in the acquisition of a major European-based Global Distribution System entity.

Change management advice. We carried out a review and critique of the transition plans of a major airline about to launch a major change programme to improve processes and systems while undertaking an infrastructure move.
