Stellan Werling, Senior Associate

Now located in his native Sweden, Stellan Werling is the former Head of Corporate Finance for British Airways. Before his appointment to that position, he was Financial Controller for the entire operational side of BA; airports, flight & cabin crew, catering, engineering, IT and procurement. Among his achievements at British Airways was leadership of the airline’s much-publicised and highly-successful ‘Future Size and Shape’ business recovery programme during 2001 and subsequent annual business plans. Before joining BA, Stellan was Financial Director for Lucas Braking Systems, a division of the global Lucas Industries plc. Based in Germany, he led a major business transformation strategy and also served as Managing Director of Lucas, Germany. He had previously worked with ABB Asea Brown Boveri as Vice-President, Operations Control Overseas and with Unilever plc in a number of senior finance positions.

Stellan brings to Nyras considerable international experience in corporate finance, financial planning, strategic planning and business restructure gained in the aviation, manufacturing and construction industries over more than 30 years working with blue chip companies in UK, Nigeria, Pakistan, Switzerland and Germany. He holds a BSc (First) in Business Economics (Civilekonom) from the University of Lund, Sweden. Stellan is fluent in Swedish and English, with working knowledge of German.
